Its been a lovely day here in South Wales TWR !

They come for the history, full stop. They come for London and Bath and Stonehenge and Edinburgh, amongst many others.

We should be proud of our Sceptered Isle !
If you come from somewhere arid like Saudi Arabia, the sheer unrelenting greenry and the abundance of water must be mindblowing. And the lack of being arrested for having ovaries and driving a car.
To say nothing of the lack of mentalists shouting at you from towers, numerous times a day, for no apparent reason.
Been to Burnley of late?

it's really only in northern Europe that people travel in search of good weather. Other countries with more stable climates have enough of their own. But people also come here for culture, history, general sightseeing and shopping, as well as business, family visits and so on. Most of them know to bring a brolly.

Good morn all, just to recap on my OP, don't get me wrong on this, I'm not knocking the UK only the weather, yes we have it all here, the Greeneries, history, like a lot of on here we have been fortunate to travel the world but knowing what we are, more often that not coming back to, Rain, that's what I meant.
more often that not coming back to, Rain, that's what I meant.

But that is not true is it TWR?
When I decide on a holiday destination the weather doesn't come into it, I look for the culture, the scenery, the people etc, the weather means nothing to me.
We have a good balance of weather in the UK, virtually no life threatening floods, tsunamis etc. and a heatwave last a a few days, and again not really life threatening, we are surrounded by green fields if you get out of the city, I wouldn't want to change our weather for anyone else's.
I'd like to visit the UK, to see where I was born and to checkout the greenery.
But only if you could guarantee it wouldn't rain whilst I was there ;-)
I'd give the cities a big miss.

If I did not mean it I would not have said it "T"
We can't guarantee no rain, ozzy but you could always buy some waterproofs when you get here.
Question Author
Gd Day 1ozzy, you ask the Majority of poms why the go abroad! you will get the same answer.
So where you live you get more days of rain than days without rain, TWR?
The only thing I dislike about the British weather is not knowing what to wear.
