can tourists/children eat and drink during the day in Dubai if its ramadam. Also are the shops still open?

Ramadan's restrictions - eating and drinking during daylight hours are observed by Muslims only. Children under three are usually exempt, as are the old and sick. Visitors are not expected to observe the restrictions, although obviously a little tact will be appreciated.

Businesses are open, but some observe shorter hours during the festival.
