How To Get From London To Coll Island, Scotland

Help! I and three friends have booked a week in January on Coll, but can't find out how to get there from London! The flights are only on Mondays and Wednesdays (we thought they were daily when we booked!), but we have to travel on a Saturday. I've heard that Caledonian Ferries go there, but where do we pick that up? I'd be indebted to you for any information and experience you could give me.

I've been all over the internet, trying to find a better way, but I think I'm gonna have to try to change the dates that we go..

the problem with getting to the highlands from glasgow airport is that you're on the wrong side of the clyde - altho' there are 2 buses from the airport, change at tyndrum for oban.

neither connects with the ferry, you'll need to stop over in oban.

Nobody seems to have mentioned that there are direct trains from Glasgow Queen Street station to Oban, taking around 3 hours. (Bus No 500 links Glasgow Airport to Glasgow Queen Street station):

Thanks Buenchico, but I've now changed the dates of my holiday to be able to fly. All those hours faffing about just didn't appeal at all!
