Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel near the Chelsea (kings rd) area?

There are hardly any hotels in the immediate area. Those that are cost well over £200 (and often well over £300) per night. The only exception, to the best of my knowledge, is the Oakley Hotel:

The reviews are generally positive (with the negative reviews appearing to come solely from people who've knowingly booked a budget hotel and then moan that it's not up to the standard of places that charge five times as much!):

Otherwise (unless you've got the money to afford the expensive places) your best bet would probably be to look for somewhere in nearby Earls Court, where there are over a hundred reasonably-priced hotels.
We always stay in the Travelodge by Putney Bridge. It is very comfortable ( even had a refit since we were there last apparently ) very convenient, the tube is right beside it and there loads of buses going everywhere , and is close to Chelsea. Very reasonable.
