Have a problem with passport but not sure if it will cause me problems. A few of the pages got wet and some old visa stamps are smudged and hard to read.
Rest of passport is fine re personal details, photo etc Is this liable to cause me problems when leaving and entering countries?

Some officious jobsworth might think you are hiding something - contact the passport office and see if you can get a replacement.

Replacement..Mmh...Yeah not really practical as I am abroad and would take weeks to get a new passport...and cost a fortune no doubt.
Have a chat with the local embassy see if there is any contingency for this then.
Are the visa stamps valid? If not, I wouldn`t worry about it. As long as the page with your picture and details is OK then there shouldn`t be a problem.
I've got a passport wet, resulting in it obviously being very tatty, and never had any problems using it.

It should certainly be OK anywhere within the EU as you only need proof of EU citizenship to enter any Schengen country and your passport still provides that.

It would only be when travelling to countries that are interested in old visas that you might experience difficulties. (For example, some Arab countries might be reluctant to admit anyone with an Israeli visa and vice versa). However such instances are very rare. I've had my passport extensively checked and examined at some national entry points but never once has that included examining old visas and entry stamps.

Yeah reason I was worried I am travelling from Caribbean to Serbia changing flights in Germany. From what I understand the Serbians get very touchy if anyone has travelled to Serbia via Kosovo previously and Serbs have been known to refuse entry.
So although never been to Kosovo they may think something dodgy because of smudged old visas.
