Its not that strict for tourist, but don't wear short/shorts, show cleavage, don't smoke, eat or drink till after sunset in view at shopping Malls etc.
The only safe thing for a lady to wear during Ramadamadingdong is a burger (not sure of the spelling).
Burkha - a friend's daughter works there and has a silk one for if she goes out in the street.
go naked under a full burqa - with a hijab and niqab as well and you will be ok...your OH will enjoy this....if chilly a lightweight abaya can help warm you up as your base garment....
Apparently JD33 is suggesting this:

22:28, that's better, nice one.
That one works.
Getting back to the question:

From the website of the UAE Embassy in London:
"The dress code in the UAE is generally relaxed however visitors should take note not to wear excessively revealing clothing in public places, as a sign of respect for local culture and customs. Some Emirates adopt a more conservative dress code as well as some hotels. Swimwear is acceptable on the beaches and at hotel swimming pools.

As for the weather requirements, lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year (summer, spring and autumn), though a light sweater or cardigan could be handy when visiting a shopping mall, hotel or restaurant where the temperature might be kept too low to counter the outdoor heat. Slightly heavier clothes are needed for the short winter season, especially in the evening"

I suppose you could wrap a string of pork sausages around your head, and leave a gap to see through, then when you get back to the hotel, they would be cooked!!!!
This is the recommended Dubai beach wear, available all over London so make sure you buy before you go to avoid the rush !

Cancel and go elsewhere.
For the less restrictive western hotel swimming pools this may be acceptable but not in pink!

When it was reported that a well known UK chain store was selling these several people on AB suggested that the shops should be immediately 'fire bombed' so as to ensure that the B****** Burn in Hell!
Enjoy your holiday Condor, Buenchico has given you some sound links and advice.
Will you be staying in a Condor-minium ?
Remember that Dubai has many 'Skyscraper Hotels' but no sewage system, it relies on tankers to remove the waste . Make sure your beach is not too near the dumping ground for this lot. A peg for your nose may be a good fashion accessory!
"The dress code in the UK is generally relaxed however visitors should take note not to wear excessively claustrophobic clothing in public places, as a sign of respect for local culture and customs. Some areas adopt a more liberal dress code as well as some hotels. Swimwear is acceptable on the beaches and at hotel swimming pools.

As for the weather requirements, lightweight summer clothing is unsuitable for most of the year (summer, spring and autumn), though a sweater or fleece could be handy when visiting a shopping mall, hotel or restaurant where the temperature might be kept high to counter the outdoor chill. Slightly heavier clothes are needed for the short winter season, especially in the evening, or ever"

While locals are very tolerant of visitor's customs, it's regarded as polite behaviour to keep your seemingly endless prayers and infinite capacity to take offence in check while you are our guests.

Life is a two way street. Enjoy your visit to our century.
