Are some airlines treating their customers like idiots with the amount of seat space given? as many on here I've travelled quite a bit, we have just returned from Cyprus on a T Cook aircraft, it was like sitting on a box with no comfort / knee space, not a moan as some may think but just your opinions.
We had to fly T Cook (a Saga Holiday ) and it was very cramped especially for OH - he refuses to fly with them again. But its difficult if you are tied in to a package and as our combined ages are 171 we prefer the package deal.
People want cheap travel. That is only achieved by maximising the seating (i.e. squeezing them in) and hitting very high load factors. As an example, the Boeing 757 that is used by TC and Tui carried about 180 passengers in BA service. On holiday charters TC has 235 seats - 55 more seats or roughly 10 more seat rows. I have to say that my one and only experience with TC is one that I have no intention of repeating!
