Paphos At Christmas

Hi, does anybody know what the temperature in Paphos will be over the festive season, and do restaurants open for Christmas dinner, also shops, do they open after Christmas day like here? Any additional info appreciated. Thanks

The average is about 15, however our friends that live there have had Christmas as low as 10 and as high as 28. Not a lot of the local restaurants will be open but the bigger hotels do lay on Christmas Dinner.

EcclesCake’s daily average figure should be considered along with the average daytime high temperature, which is around 19-20C. These compare with July/August average of 19C and daytime average high temperature of 23C for London.

I was in Paphos over Christmas/New Year around 15 years ago – I was out wearing T-shirt & shorts (although it was a bit cold early in the morning) with the locals wearing thick coats.

A few restaurants were open on Christmas day – but business was slow with most hotels offering a complimentary Christmas evening meal to those staying on a B&B basis.

Depending on how long you plan to stay – I would consider hiring a car to explore other parts of the island during your stay.
