I am planning a trip to Washington state which will involve driving around in both Washington and over the border in Canada.
I found out that the car rental prices are substantially cheaper from Canada than the US, although either rental allows driving in both countries.
So, is there any good reason why I shouldn't fly to Vancouver instead of Seattle and rent from there instead?
I could save over 250 on the rental, not to be sniffed at.
Are you quite sure of your facts about car rental rates? Rates quoted on the Internet seem comparable both sides of the border - starting at about 25GBP per day. One reason for starting from Seattle is that for some reason flights there are generally cheaper than flights to Vancouver.
