I keep seeing travel Lodge rooms for £29 but never seem able to get one - Does anyone else have the same problem or have you been lucky?

Usually in smaller towns with no airport near on a Friday or Saturday night, when booked about 3 months in advance.

Travelodge rooms are so basic they're almost like prison cells. I much prefer a Premier Inn.
A couple of years ago e used to get loads, we used to go on weekends away quite regularly. I can't say that I have been able to get any good deadls since they did the rooms up about 18 months ago.

I agree that the rooms are very basic but when its only £25 and you are only sleeping in it, why pay more elsewhere?
We were lucky last weekend ...stayed at Yeovil Podimore Dec31st for £31 and then Oxford Pear Tree on Jan 1st. Both very acceptable not at all basic.
But Oh and son had to pay nearly £60 for the one in Southampton On Dec 28th....it does seem to vary a lot.

FRi/Sat
there's one in Walthamstow on the 19th. Only £23 in Nuneaton the same day.

Thank you jno - I need to go to Peterborough. Is it a case of just going to somewhere randomly that happens to have the deal. Makes it less of a good offer doesn't it ?
Peterborough Central, Friday Feb 24, £33.
the type of facility available at any given Travelodge is a bit hit and miss - the one at tamworth (for instance) has no catering facilities. there's a lidl downstairs and if you want breakfast, that's where you'll get it - although not before 8am.
