Restaurants Near Scarborough

For a short visit to the Scarborough area, I am looking for a good seafood restaurant (not fish & chips but crab, lobster etc). Any suggestions?

Also, a good pub with character and good pub grub.

A short drive from Scarborough would be fine.

The Courtyard Restaurant at Ox Pasture Hall Hotel and The Bryherstones Country Inn.

The Anvil at Wold Newton for a pub. Doesn't serve every day so check. Local beer. Food praised in Sat. Tel. pub guide.. Have to book weekends..

Thanks to all for the suggestions. Café Fish seems to be what I am looking for for local shellfish. I'll do some research on the pubs.

Best fish & chips at Harpers on A64 - Restaurant & Takeaway - other meals available. They cook plaice excellently.
