Remember you spend 5 or 6 days at sea and may not stop anywhere on the way.

Are you happy to spend that long on a boat without being able to get off and look round a nearby city or other attraction?

I did a 10 day cruise a year or so back where we spent two of the days at sea without stopping anywhere. After the first of these two days I was bored stiff after the first day.

Personally it's my idea of a nightmare but my friend has a son in New York and is trying to avoid the long flight.
