Passport Success

Just thought I would congratulate the passport office in Durham for processing my renewal so speedily. I applied on-line on Monday January 8th and received my new document on January 15th. One week - end to end. Well done.

Yes, I need a passport and phoned the passport office to ask how long it would take.(my wife's application took over 6 weeks) they said that the backlog had been eliminated and applications are going through without delay. Thanks for proof.

Peterborough also move quickly. I think the newspaper headlines tend to be for people who haven't checked their passport until a week or so before they go on holiday, despite having booked it months earlier.

Just to update you all, for some reason my wife had to use Belfast office to renew her passport on line but they performed equally well. Start to finish in 1 week. Well done.

Belfast probably had availability for the work which is why it was allocated to them to work.

It’s also worth noting that this is not peak period so it makes sense to do your passport now rather than a week before you go in July like others!
