Has anyone been in one before? Can you do late night “cruises and as a boat is really safe, seaworthy and do they have life jackets?

All passenger boats ,from small pleasure launches to huge cruise ships MUST have a lifejacket for each passenger. It's a marine transport law.

OK the Hot Tub is on a boat /tug . But the boat must have the full complement of life saving equipment ,life jackets etc.

The name sounds a bit Stringfellowish but it looks like a good idea. Exactly how much time you have to put on your life jacket and your oxygen mask and follow the lights to the exit doors when your tub overturns, I don't know.

I didn’t see one life jacket or liferaft on the tugboat in mamyas link.

Do they allow people with no sailing experience to pilot the boat I wonder? No life jackets and possibly accidents possibly leading to an overturned boat possibly leading to death sounds like a lawsuit imo but would the company owners overlook basic health and safety?

They obviously have different marine laws.

I’m not sure that that’s long enough for a sailing lesson.

I’m not sure I’d trust that with non swimmers.

It doesn't need to be "seaworthy" as it can only be on a very limited stretch of the canal - you cannot go through a lock. It is stable and safe and you don't need a life jacket. You can do an evening cruise.

The canal's quite wide in places but it appears to be only 3-4ft deep, so no great risk. All the same, any non-swimmers given to panicking might think twice about cruising in it,
