Los Gigantes Tenerife - To Hire Or Not To Hire..?

Apparently taxis & transfers from Tenerife South airport to our Airb&b are expensive. We're thinking of hiring a car for a week. I've been driving (happily)for decades; can anyone advise me about road conditions, please? The website makes them sound `daunting`.

I haven't been there for a long time, but if my memory serves me correctly it was a pretty fast road, similar to our dual carriageway.

I suspect there must be a bus service, so you could just get a taxi the last bit of the journey.

The roads are fine, similar to the rest of Europe. Just remember to drive on the right.

We had a hire car when we rented in Los Gigantes - the roads were absolutely fine, at least as good as mainland Spain.

I spent last Christmas in Tenerife and went all round the island by bus. No driving, no parking, no worrying about having a glass of wine. Much easier.
