My wife and her sister are flying from Glasgow to Perth Australia and the web site says economy baggage allowance is 35 kg depending on fare type. What does that mean????
I can't ask Emirates as their web site is the worse I have ever encountered. It doesn't even recogise the UK as a country and any phone number I stumbled across is not recognised. You just cannot talk to a rep.Perhaps they don't have any.

Just call your airport and ask to be put through to the Emirates desk.

It means that you can take 35kg of luggage with you, unless you are flying Business or First where you can often take a few kilo's more.
See here:

https://www.emirates.com/uk/english/help/faq/490107/Weight-and-Piece-concept:

" For Economy Class passengers, your baggage allowance depends on the type of fare you purchase. Special Economy fares get 20kg, Saver and Flex get 30kg and Flex Plus get 35kg."

I have used Emirates a few times and the onflight service in Economy has been absolutely outstanding every time.

I did have a problem when they lost all my luggage on my last flight from Brisbane to Manchester but whe they did find it, they paid all costs including a £ 250 taxi bill to get the stuff up to me from Heathrow, where it turned up.

Despite this I would recommend them and say, look forward to your flight, you are in for a treat!
