Nutritious Light Meals - Travel
I am travelling abroad for a couple of weeks. Owing to location and time constraints, I will have to pack nutritious, balanced light meals/snacks in my suitcase. I will buy local food/hotel meals wherever possible, but there will be times when I have to eat something in my room or on the hoof. I want to ensure there is roughage etc in what I eat and not have 'junk' food. I have got some muesli/fruit bars, paste and crackers. Maybe sachets/Armed Forces rations should be considered, although I haven't got cooking facilities. Although my luggage will be heavy flying out, it will get lighter as the days progress. Suggestions please

Thank you for your list. I ended up taking some pot noodles, cracker biscuits, well packaged, fish paste in a vacuum sealed container and sardines, plus individual cheeses. I got through them all with no spillages. There were plenty of opportunities of trying the local food, but I was surprised that almost everyone, including most of the hotel reception staff did not speak English. I tried to speak Japanese, using a Wifi app when this was available, but was unable to find a translating app that worked offline. Never mind, it all added to the experience.
