I've just booked and paid for my train tickets for July 6th. When I went to put them in my little travel wallet, I noticed that my railcard expires on the 4th. Is it OK because my card is still valid today, the day I paid? Also, do you have to show your railcard on the train? I've only used it twice before about 10 months ago so can't remember.

You have to have a valid railcard for the date you're travelling. I'm often asked to show the railcard on a journey, but not always.

Thank you.
It'll need your railcard to be current to be valid when you travel i think, so make sure you renew it in time
