We're going to Spain for Christmas for a couple of weeks and staying in rented accomodation. Does anyone know how easy it is to get a Christmas tree over there. Do the Spanish celebrate in this way?

www.idealspain.com. I do not know what part of spain you are going to but this might help. Have a good time.
Sorry go down to the bottom of the page and type in "Christmas in Spain "and the page will come up.

The Spanish don't celebrate Christmas in the way you do in the UK, children receive their presents after the Three Kings parade to the church on the eve of 6th January. The traditional Spanish christmas decorations consist of a 'belen' which is a minature nativity scene and Christmas day is just a 'get together and have dinner with the whole family' day, there is no Boxing Day here and everyone goes back to work on December 26th.

I don't think I have seen a real Christmas tree in the four years we have been here but it the rental house owner is on the ball he/she will put decorations up for you, we do in ours!!
