Has anyone taken a mobility scooter on holiday flight with them. I am hoping to and and would like to know if it was pretty straightforward or would I have to make any special arrangements etc. The battery is detachable so I can take that in the cabin. Would I be likely to have many difficulties otherwise?

Different airlines / aircraft have different rules , mainly due to cabin space! You need to ask your airline ! But in general it is better to hire a scooter while you are over there ! All the main holiday destinations have 'Hire Shops' for scooters !
they're awfy heavy - you may find if the airline will carry it, they'll charge you an arm and a leg...…..
