We are travelling with Virgin To Orlando next summer but i've read a lot of bad reports on the web about them. Has anyone travelled there with them? What are they like ? What was the journey like ? Are they good with kids? Please help put my mind at rest or change my operator before its too late!

Been to Orlando with them 3 times. I did a lot of reaearch before booking and they seemed to be the best. Only complaint is they don't have an awful lot of legroom on the plane, but everything else is good. Kids get goody bags on plane, own little tvs to watch with a kids channel, book-ins and transfers fine. I wouldn't look at any other company to go to Orlando with.
I was reading that they were one of best not long ago
Can't comment on their holiday packages but I have flown Virgin Atlantic. In my opinion their level of customer service & comfort far exceeded any other airline I have flown with. The staff were very attentive & impeccably professional throughout the entire flight (and there were some very loud, demanding passengers on the plane) and there was so much in-flight entertainment to choose from that I was actually disappointed to reach my final destination!
I've flown on Virgin and have found them to be by far the best! Also went on a package holiday with them to St Lucia and everything was prefect.
Flown with Virgin a few times and went on a package holiday to St Lucia with them. Found them to be very good every time.
I wish all our flights were with Virgin

Thanks for all your replys. I can relax and look forward to my holiday now.

My sister works as cabin crew for Virgin, and she says she would never change to a differnt airline. She says the airline are so much better quality then others shes been with. I think you and your family will enjoy flying with Virgin.

Fly all the time with Virgin. If you are worried about the leg room then ask for the emergency exit seats at check in ... you might have to pay more but you might not. Its well worth it in my opinion.

Virgin do have one or two dodgy hotels in orlando, two on international drive.

Your best bet is to do a search on the hotels you are thinking of staying in. and disreguard any reviews older than 18 months.

Further to the earlier comments, I have just flown to Delhi with Virgin, and the in flight entertainment is absolutely brilliant. With your own little console, you can choose to watch whenever you like, from 40 movies, tv programmes, comedy, documentries, kids channel - you can play games and quizzes, keep track of your journey, altitude, speed etc.

However, I found the food to be so bad it was almost inedible.

Were staying in a villa because our youngest is only one and a half and we found it easier last time with all the extra room and privacy. As for food it couldn't be any worse than what we got with Air Atlanta. I wouldn't have fed it to a dog. So anyone flying with Air Atlanta bring a picnic. They actually gave me a dinner for my breakfast (potatoes and all) totally disgusting after flying for 6-7 hours and in need of something. he only thing half edible was the roll and it wasn't that great either. Thanks for your anwsers.
