I can highly recommend this beautiful city. Cheap as chips and the locals are very pleasant, with the added bonus of not yet being overrun with British stag and hen parties

Where is it Rocky?

Czech Republic
Thanks - might look into it. Done Prague a few times and so glad I did it when I did as it's probably overrun now. The first time I was there I was stared at as I stood out as a foreigner - that's how long ago it was.
^^^ You might need to live near to Stansted, 237SJ, as that's the only UK airport with direct flights to Brno–Tuřany Airport. (Ryanair).

Alternatively you can get there by using the smart new Regiojet train services that link Brno with Bratislava, Vienna and Prague:
https://www.regiojet.com/timetables-and-stops/timetables/index.html?timetableId=4434114023
(It's ridiculously cheap! https://www.regiojet.com/news/trains/prague-brno-bratislava.html )
Looks as if they left a vowel out.
An "I" most probably.
So what does one go see, or do there ?
One simply 'does' it apparently.

Maybe there are classes for those who can only hope to visit.
A friend and I were looking at Brno. Another places that looks interesting is Timisoara in Romania.

We've booked Ljubljana for next May for 4 nights.
How long did you go for? I'm starting to look at holidays.
"Looks as if they left a vowel out."

They haven't - it's just the way the language's orthography works:

Furriners eh. An 'e' then.
The Czech Republic is beautiful - I could say 'check it out' - but I won't.....
Some words in Czech have no vowels at all: they just don’t bother with them for some short vowel sounds.
For a language that lumps lots of consonants together Georgian takes some beating...
should try Vietnamese where the definite or indefinite is left out - we had one working in Lyon and it certainly made for interesting French..

We went Thurs to Sunday, and to be honest, that was probably enough unless you want to travel outside of the city. I’ll give you and idea if cost; 7 half litre of lager, 3 Caipirinhas, 2 Baileys and a Barcardi and coke, along with a main course each - £52, crackin
It's worth going there just for the bargain Caipirinhas :) There are less and less places to go in the world now that are cheap. My friend and her husband and girls went to Samarkand in May. She was raving about it and it was so cheap. A lot of the 'istans' are becoming the latest places to now as they are relatively undiscovered by Westerners.
