Teeside Airport

I have found out that there are now flights from Cardiff to Teeside (or Durham Tees Valley), but there doesn't seem to be a regular frequent service from the airport to Darlington (nearest town) apart from a once a week train and three buses per day. Am I missing something here?

I thought that they dismantled/were dismantling the station at Teesside Airport. There was rumoured to be a train that ran from Stockton on a Sunday lunchtime, but I don't think the line runs that way anymore.

Just as I thought. I found out there was still one train on a Sunday, and the rest just run straight through. But the newspaper article confirms what I thought. So I'll continue getting the train. They have got new domestic routes starting, so maybe the connections will improve. Fingers crossed!

It costs about £10 by Uber into Darlington

Apparently, it's the service from Hartlepool to Teesside Airport, not from Darlington. You've got to switch platforms at Allens West

14:50 Allens West > Teesside Airport 14:54

It's the ghost train from Stockton I'd like to see, because the only way you go from Stockton to Darlington (By rail) is to change at Thornaby.

The problem with Teesside Airport Railway Station is that it's actually nowhere near to Teesside Airport. It's a difficult 15-minute walk between the two:

Wow Buenchico - I didn't even know that! So even if there was more trains, you'd still be a good walk away.
