I am building a case for a claim and need to verify whether a particular flight actually was operated out of Heathrow on a particular day in mid May past. Is there by chance that somewhere I can get that information, ideally simply on the internet ?

Do you know the flight number and the destination? This might help. Not sure if only applies to current flights though.

Thanks jno, but I think I'll do my own research and claim submission - it just takes time :)
Karl, as I understand it, you just do an initial free flight check (as per the button at the bottom) and they tell you if the flight existed. After that you can decide whether you want to pay for any further services.

I haven't used their site myself so I may have read it wrongly.
FlightRadar24 requires a Gold Subscription plan to get flight data going back for 365 days but there's a 7-day free trial, so you could sign up, get the information you want and then cancel, thus getting the info for free:
