Got myself some tickets for Hans Zimmer in March 2022 at the O2. However at the tender age of 32 I’ve yet to experience our capital! So planning on staying a few days.. I would prefer longer but sure it won’t go down well with my sons school.
Anyway, I love a good premier inn.. (also open to other suggestions) but for the general sight seeing.. shopping.. good food.. which is the best to stay at? I have a budget of about 500-600 for the 3-4 days.. but understand with it being London it may be a little more.. however hoping with the low season it may not be! ..
You need to decide if you want to stay central Kings Cross area or slightly out Stratford Westfield with good rail, tube connections. Look at a visitor to London site and see what combination of entrance tickets so you can plan your days. Maybe 2 attractions a day. Hamleys worth a visit to see the train sets etc. Rainforest cafe near Shaftesbury Avenue good for a meal. Allow 3 plus hours for Science museum and the shop!!
London Docklands museum, or the London Museum, near to the Barbican, are fantastic for kids of that age. They'll likely be less busy than the main London museums.
London Dungeon is quite good (though, overpriced in my opinion if you have to pay full price)
There's usually lots going on around the Southbank.
I live in Greater London but still adore jumping on train into Central London. I know it’s extortionate but we just love walking along the Thames, stopping at various bars along the way……. Can’t beat it!!
