My 18yr old daughter is looking for a student visa to go to Spain.the Spanish embassy is on strike I definitely and we need to get her the visa by August.
Has any one experience of this strike? And if so how do we get a student visa.

When you say the Spanish embassy is on strike, I'm not really sure if you mean the Spanish embassy here or the British embassy in Spain (sorry for my ignorance).
Whichever one is not on strike, try contacting them and ask for advice.

Are they still on strike? It's been weeks. Ringlet, it's the UK embassy that is on strike.

My daughter is in Spain at the moment for her year abroad. Thank God she has an Irish passport. Her friends have a had a mare of a time trying to get their visas. I believe some went without it and had to come back to finalise the details. The whole thing is shambolic and the uni was as much help as a chocolate teapot. Give yourself as much time as possible. The Spanish are very slow. Good luck

Yes still on strike. I suppose I could try the Spanish embassy in Spain.
