Redhelen72 - how do you come to that conclusion? Your link clearly states, under 'Proof of vaccination status': "For travellers aged 18 and over, France will recognise you as ‘vaccinated’ for entry purposes if you completed your initial vaccine course within the last 9 months. If more than 9 months have elapsed since your initial course, and you have not...

yeah interested in any answers as I will have to do this for Egypt in a few months
like you know thre isnt any covid in the middle east
Make sure you have travel insurance that covers the trip if you fail pre travel tests.
which is kinda hinky if you are old and have cancer
I know. My mum paid £2000 plus for a week in the middle east. Once she had chemo tabs she couldn`t get the insurance at all so I took her to Cyprus, excluded the cancer and told her we were on the next plane home if she felt ill.
How many Covid jabs have you had?
Looks like it's just the 2 hence having to do pre departure tests.
I'm going out now so if you see this later, you don't need any tests if you've had two jabs plus a booster. The nine month rule only applies if you have not had a booster.

That's why I asked. Many people are confused.
Kopend - please see here I don't think you need an antigen test.

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france/entry-requirements
If you had your 2 jabs more than 270 days ago and you haven`t had a booster you need pre-departure tests for France. I`m reading that the OP hasn`t had the booster so they are considered unvaccinated and need antigen/PCR.

"For travellers aged 18 and over, France will recognise you as ‘vaccinated’ for entry purposes if you completed your initial vaccine course within the last 9 months. If more than 9 months have elapsed since your initial course, and you have not since received a booster, you will be considered unvaccinated and must follow the rules detailed below."

and under 'If you’re not fully vaccinated':

"From 31 March 2022, travellers from the UK aged 12 years and over who are not fully vaccinated need to provide:

A negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours or an antigen test result taken within 48 hours pre-departure."
I think the OP knows the rules anyway - they just want to know what to do if they fail the test.
