Afternoon Tea In London

The Ritz on Picadilly or Brown's Hotel almost opposite. I've been to both. The Ritz is spectacular and all what you would expect - and more. Browns is much smaller, cozy and more personal.
If you like tea go to the Ritz. A fantastic variety and all delicious. I had about 13 cups(!) all without milk.

It might depend upon your budget!

It would probably be difficult to beat the offerings of some of the big hotels, such as The Ritz

Somebody kindly gave me a voucher for afternoon tea (for two) at Patisserie Valerie though and both my friend and I were really impressed with everything there. If I was seeking a reasonably-priced afternoon tea in central London, I might well head for their branch at 55 Wilton Road in Victoria/Pimlico. If you're a fan of Agatha Christie, Brown's would be a good choice - she used it (but changed the name) in 'At Bertram's Hotel'.

Some years ago I had a Breakfast At The Wolesley - the meal was excellent, but the place is a bit large and subsequently can be noisy (we were lucky in getting a balcony seat which was a bit secluded)

They also do afternoon tea.

The Caffe Concerto is really lovely place. On Whitehall, just off Trafalgar Square. I'd recomend it. Been there a couple of times.
