Airport Parking

Has anyone had experience with airport parking at Stansted and was it all positive

I've used the 'drop-off', short-term and mid-term parking at Stansted Airport without any problems whatsover - except, of course, for the cost of paying for it!

As far as I know, it’s still free to park at the mid-stay car park at Stansted for 60 minutes. So if you can get someone to drop you off and pick you up you can then use the shuttle bus to get to and from the terminal and Stansted won’t charge you a penny. I did this last year and it worked like a dream.

There's nothing positive at all about Stansted.

We stayed at a hotel at Stansted as we had an early flight. We had a Stay and Park deal which was ideal.

Many of the off site parking options around Bishops Stortford have a poor reputation, stick to the on site car parks within the airport and use the shuttle buses.

I've used Stansted's airport parking several times, usually valet parking. Make sure you use the airports own parking facilities and not independant parking companies.

No issues at all. Nice to arrive, give keys to attendant, unload car and walk 5 minutes straight into departure area. Return just as simple, normally back in my car after 10 minutes leaving arrivals and on my way home.

Would suggest you reserve a parking slot in advance for a better deal.

Thank you, I don't know Stansted Airport very well, I'm also a nervous flyer so not sure I want to have the worry of finding the car parks in the airport, on top of the nerves about flying, so I may just let a taxi take the strain.
