The travel agent sold me the holiday by the white sand and blue sea...................Only to find on our first day cloudy grey water and dirty sand (not white) I was very disapointed!!
What part of the island are you going?
The Dominican Republic has a fair sprinkling of rain year round. Generally it is sunny and even when cloudy it is still warm. It depends on where your resport is in DR as to the extent of the rainfall. The North Coast (Cabarete, Puerto Plata) has the most annual rainfall but this tends to fall in the Autumum months. The south coast (Santo Domingo) has slightly less rainfall year round and is worst from May to Sept.
The peak season for visitors to The DR is Dec-April and June - Sept, so you are going out of season.
