Not looking forward to dressing up every night. If we eat in the buffet section, do I need to wear a dress every single night and does OH have to wear a jacket?? Can I wear white Capri trousers with a nice top, and what to wear during the day on board? Thanks all.

Smurf - Do check in advance, but as a rule, there are no dress restrictions for the buffet section on a modern cruise liner.
There are usually a couple of 'formal nights' in a week, where a tuxedo for men and an evening outfit for ladies is required if you are eating in one of the formal dining rooms, but otherwise, it's usually smart casual in the dining rooms, and jackets are not required.
During the day, you can wear what you like everywhere on board.

Lankeela - you are not 'told what to wear' - you have a choice to dress formally for the 'formal nights', or eat elsewhere from the formal dining rooms. The other six nights a week, you dress as you would for a nice restaurant at home.
Clearly a cruise is not something you would enjoy, but lots do, it's just about what you like to do, or not, on holiday.
