a friend not net savy going to iceland via gatwick want to buy some tobacco, i have looked but cannot seem to find, exactly where and prices, so i can pass the info..

The company will be World Duty Free but they are not allowed to advertise prices apart from at the point of sale.

^^^ I assume, Hoppy, that Fender62's friend will be returning to the UK.  I've never known it to be any cheaper to use a UK duty free store on the outbound trip than to use an overseas one on the return journey.  Also, there can potentially be problems with UK customs if it can't be shown that the goods were purchased outside of the UK.

my friend says the brand they like is not sold in iceland, if they sell it in gatwick duty free, and then fly to iceland and then back, would that be ok, im not sure how it works, i dont want to give them bad advice..

Yes it would be OK.  I'd keep the receipt though.

Check and see if they can be purchased and collect on return a lot of airports do this now
