Set up account with credit card. You can book ahead up to 3 months but little more expensive than booking when you need, usually about 10 minutes before you want. They confirm with car and driver details. You can follow the journey to your pickup. They notify you when driver 3 mins away down to arrival. Promos and discounts available. Tipping not compulsory. Pet and disabled options available
Absolutely superb.
A trifle morre expensive than normal taxis but more reliable.
Only once had a problem when taxi was delayed due to previous passenger becoming abusive to the driver and he had to call the police. He arranged for a replacement which made us about 15m late. New driver was very apologetic and arranged for us to receieve a £10 credit voucher for our inconvenience.
Nice, clean cars, superb booking app where you can track your driver's whereabouts as you are waiting, no faffing about with cash. What's not to like?

not in terms of user experience - but I wish Clan Uber were less aggressively possessive of the short-stay car park at Birmingham International station, which Uber consider to be their waiting garage for fares from Birmingham Airport; and woe betide if you invade their space which you wait to pick up your relatives/friends from the train.......
