What is everyone's views of travelling to Turkey amid all the bird flu deaths? My boyfriend and decided to holiday there (have not booked yet) and then it hit the news big time. I was really looking forward to a holiday there and just want to know how many of you would travel there.

Thanks for any replies

Assuming you are going to a mediterranean resort there's not the slightest reason not to go.

All the deaths have been among poultry farmers and their families a thousand miles east of where you would be

You've more chance of crashing and burning in a plane crash than dying of any infection you may get in Turkey.
Go and enjoy your holiday!

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. Well maybe not the thought of crashing and burning but I think I'll probably stick to Turkey. dzug you were right, it will be the mediterranean.

I'll just make sure I don't eat anything to do with birds!!!!

My wife and I are going there for the total eclipse of the sun in March. We have no intention of cancelling. Mind you, we're flying there one day, and flying back the next (and not by bird!).
