It will depend partly on the altitude; Bohinj is about 1850ft up. It's very pretty country - a bit like Switzerland, though more rural.
Of course it could be cold and wet - so could Britain. But you'll be taking an anorak or something anyway if you're on a walking holiday, I suppose. I think I'd wear basically what you'd wear for a similar holiday at home.
it's a nice place - the towns are small and easy to get around. Ljubljana is very pretty and baroque; Piran on the coast is like a mini-Venice. But the countryside is not as prosperous as Britain; villages and farming settlements seem less modern and sophisticated. If you've got medicines to take, for instance, I wouldn't guarantee you'll always find them, so take your own. The scenery is attractive, and I found the people friendly; there's not a huge number of tourists.
