HI, how long will it take for my passport to come if I send the application in the next couple of days? I want to travel in 4 weeks, will it be back by then. i really dont fancy standing at liverpool.....

The UK Passport Service aim to return postal applications within 3 weeks of receipt, but this is not guaranteed.

hi use the check and send service at the post office you have to pay a bit extra for this service but it speeds up the process a bit

I renewed my hubbies passport last september and it was back within a week! That wasn`t with the fast service either !

I had to go to Liverpool a few months ago for a passport and we were given a time to attend. We could not go in before that time, and once we went in we were seen very quickly.

I think they are very well organized there and you will not be hanging around for ages (apart for waiting for the passport of course which is a few hours once they have your paperwork).

I posted mine off on the Monday and my passport came on the next Saturday

like vehelpfulguy I went to Liverpool to get a passport renewal. You have to make an appointment, you don't just queue. I was in and out very quickly. I paid the extra to get mine that day, my appointment was about 9.30am and I went back at 2pm and got my passport in my hand - very efficient!
