We are staying at the Kyrosiez Three Corners Resort, Sharm el Sheikh next week. Does anyone have any tips/information on either the resort or Sharm el Sheikh that would help us?

I went to Sharm last New Year and had a great time. The area you are staying in is a little distance from the main areas but cheap enough in a taxi or bus. Make sure you agree the fare up front and whatever you do make sure you barter for the price. There is a fantastic race car track arena not far from where you staying that I would definitely recommend you visit.
Do not go on the trip to Mount Sinai at this time of year it is very cold & quite dangerous. If you were planning to go to Cairo I would recommend you fly rather than take the coach. Also make sure you take US dollars the exchange rate is still very good and this is an accepted currency in most places.
When you get to the airport you will be asked to pay for a visa entry ask to pay in US dollars, they wont like this but must accept your request. (The exchange rate is better for you!) The airport is not the best and you will be hassled by men wanting to take your baggage. The best advise I can offer is that you learn to say la shakran which means, no thank you, you will be saying this a lot. I do a lot of travelling across the world and have spent a fair amount of time in the middle east & Africa and Sharm is a very good up & coming location. It is much less expensive than Dubai and at this time of year the whether is just about right for the Europeans who travel there, from June onwards it is far to hot.
Have a great time and just ignore the new money Russians who have made this location their must visit top 5!
