Has anyone stayed in an ice hotel? I really like the idea but, being a bit of a clean freak, wonder how they can possibly keep it looking good - do they skim off the top layer every day?

The very top layer melts so it's dried away. As it's so cold anyway there's no risk of germs!!

A good experience but just for a novelty night in my opinion

Thanks for the reply, lafrancaise. Yes, I agree with you - a unique experience for sure and something I definitely want to do but perhaps one night only will be enough!
