Does anyone know the key to getting the cheapest flights on Ryanair.com? It is down to booking in advance as their prices go and up all the time? Is it just a question of luck?

On Ryanair's website, there is a "Find lowest fare" feature:

Book in advance - but not immediately the fares are released. Watch out for sales.

Travel off-peak - very early and very late flights, and midweek. Saturday afternoon/evening on some routes as well.

Use the farefinder in the previous post.

Usually booking early helps. if you're going to the big soccer cities like Liverpool , Manchester , Glasgow the prices are always high when matches are on , no matter how early you book . Mid week flights are always the cheapest

a usefull tool is the flightchecker feature on the following site www.moneysavingexpert.com it checks ryanair fly be bmi baby for the lowest fares for your chosen date
Agree with all the answers but you must join Ryanair's e-mail register, that way you will learn of any good offers before they go to press.
The only problem with booking really cheap flights with Ryanair (booked well in advance) is that they are liable to change them before you go. We have just lost 1 day from a short trip to Cork in July and are hoping that there won't be any more changes.
