i am about to renew my sons passport.he is 5yrs old and has one scince birth.do i need to get the new photographs signed

The rule is, if the person is still recogniseable from the previous photo, then you don;t have to get it signed.


This obviously applies to adults - your child will need to be re-photographed, and the photos signed.

yes,if it is a UK passport you need to send in two pics of your child-one countersigned by a 'professional' person(my GP does it for free as he is a child, but headteacher's charge you �10 going rate!) with the old passport.


If child is on yours then you have to send in your passport as well so that they can delete him off.


They send the passports back by seperate couriers so don't panic!


Mine arrived 10 days apart-thought one had got lost!
