I understand the states have 2 pin-plugs on a different voltage. What should I do about recharging my ipod while I'm there (it's a british recharger)? Any help appreciated

just buy a travel adaptor. They have 110volts in the States (as opposed to 240v here) so won't do your iPod any harm
They are about 20 but worth a buy it can be used here and abroad look on website.
Go to Tesco's and buy a travel adaptor - about 5...usually kept at the end of the aisles near the checkouts...
