Ever been to Disney World, Florida? It's for all ages + ever expanding - you won't get bored - you'd need about a month if you want to do everything
Best places for me: San Francisco, New York, Barcelona, South Africa. However, it entirely depends on what type of holiday you want. You're hardly going to take up my recommendation of New York if you want a beach holiday. Can you give some more detail?
Hing Kong is fantastic and surprisingly inexpensive. I agree with 5029 though - I must confess to being an annual DisneyWorld passholder.

Teh bad news is that my fella hates USA so we can't go there...... been thinking about Maldives!
Go to the maldives and enroll in a diving school and get yer diving license. Friend of mine went a couple of years back ....on some kind of all in package only took a week if I remember correctly.
Thailand. After forking out for the flight which would be 450-500 quid its spectacularly cheap when you get there and is the best place on earth.(in my opinion of course) :-)
Depends how much you are prepared to spend. You could try a multi center holiday in China. Part of the holiday in Bejing visiting the Forbidden City and other attractions. Then go to Xian to see the terracotta warriors and off to the Great Wall. Travelling by Chinease airline was an experience in itself. I did find though at markets you need to haggle hard as everything is priced at two to four times what they would be happy to receive. Also a significant number will cheat you as soon as look at you.

How about a cruise around Europe, they're prob not as expensive as you think, and its a good way of seeing many sites. What age are you and is it a peaceful or clubbing or sightseeing holiday? Is it within or outside of Europe?
New York baby! You simply CANNOT get bored there... Helps if you know someone you can stay with though, since it ain't cheap.
Just read your Maldives bit... Look for the island of Veligandu: utter paradise, but not too lively - it's very popular with couples and in particular honeymooners - they have a website too... can't remember what it is thought.
NEW YORK CITY! You will never forget it.
Has to be ...THAILAND. If you have not been. Book your ticket today. It's not too far. The weather in Jan is ACE and it's well cheap. I've been round the world twice and thats one of the few places i'd definitely go to again.
