I'm going to the Diani Sea Resort for two weeks all inc.

Has anyone been here??

Can anyone tell me about things to do and places to go? I'm going to go on a safari to Salt Lick and spens loads of time on the beach

I suggest you look into travelling to Malindi as well as around Tsavo - the Sheldrake elephant orphanage may still have a camp that can be visited by the public within Tsavo. The best way to get into this is probably by contacting tour organisers, which may be possible through your resort but a clearer/wider view of the market is obtained by going into Mombasa (which you really should do anyway). While in Mombasa, and to a lesser extent elsewhere, keep a close watch on your belongings especially when among crowds. Pickpockets and confidence tricksters operate in this area as in all major urban locations in Kenya and robbery is far too common. Do not look ostentatious but do not let fear spoil your holiday. Try to go snorkelling or at least on a glass bottomed boat which I believe may not be available or as nice as further north, such as off Malindi. I still intend to go back there some day.
