There is plenty of night life. There is an Acropolis and a medieval church you can visit; there are two good beaches. You can get a local bus to Rhodes Town which is worth a visit.
very nice, pretty unspoilt compared to the rest of the island. lots of windy cobbled streets, with small white washed apts etc....no huge commercial impersonal complexes! depending on where you are staying and if you have a coach transfer you may have to walk a little way to your apt as buses can't get everywhere....and your luggage may be transported a little bit behind you....when we went we took a wahsbag in our hand luggage, and our suitcases arrived safely a bit after us. Dunno if that still applies. Also visit Pefkos which is really peaceful
