Disney World Florida Tickets

We are going to Florida for our honeymoon (I know my other half is a big kid!) and wondered if anyone knew where I could find out how much one day tickets are to Universal Studios and Sea World as the only tickets I can find are week passes which we dont want. We only want to go to each one for one day.

Or if anyone has been recently, can you remember how much you paid?

First off there are two parks at Universal now....the original film studios one (with themed rides like Back To The Future and rides that appear to take you behind the scenes etc) The other is called Islands of Adventure and has the faster rollercoaster rides and water rides (ie Incredible Hulk, Jurassic Park etc) so you may want a day in each. Last time we went we actually found though that half a day was long enough in the original studios park bit. We have been before though so skipped a few things and we had a day when it was pretty quiet so there wasn't loads of queueing time. Anyway the tickets for Universal and Sea World are the same i think and are approx $60 for an adult which i guess is about �35. You may be able to get them cheaper when you're there if your hotel has any special offers as a lot do......when you're there make sure you use the FREE fastpass facility which will give you a time to come back to the ride so you dont have to queue. There also a similar ticket which you have to pay an extra $30 or something for so dont get conned into buying it!

When we were there Universal Studios were offering a week long ticket that gets you into Universal Studios, Islands of adventure, Wet and wild (Water park) and Sea world (sea creatures and some roller coasters).

This ticket gave you 7 consecutive days in any of the 4 parks and was MUCH cheaper than the Disney equivalent.

All 4 parks are great.

If he is a big kid he will LOVE Islands of Adventure, its an amazing park.

Universal Studios has Jaws, King Kong, Terminator (GREAT ride/show), and loads of other film based rides.

I loved Sea World, and the Killer whale show was one of the most enjoyable things I have ever seen in my life. We saw it 3 times.

I really do not think it is worth buying individual day tickets. See here for various ticket prices:

As you can see, you can buy a 7 day pass for Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios for 115 dollars (about 65 pounds) which it about what it would cost you to go into the park for two days.

You can buy a 7 day pass for 4 parks, the two above plus Sea World and Wet and Wild for 190 dollars (which is about 108 pounds).

Dont bother with the 5 park ticket as this includes Busch Gardens which is a great park but a fair way from Orlando.

By buying the 7 day pass you can spend as much time or as little time in the park each day instead of staying for a full day to "get your moneys worth"

Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios are right next to each other, but they are separate parks so you need to pay to get into each (which is why the 7 day ticket is such good value)

This is an amazing park and the Spiderman ride is an incredible mixture of live action, cartoon and special effects.

It is not a big dipper but indoors and you go round rails on a car, but with all the special effects you lose sense of what is real and what is not.

Add on to this all the other rides and shows and you should not miss it.

A word of warning.

As you go round Orlando you will see all sorts of "deals" for free Disney or Universal tickets, or at least very cheap tickets.

These are normally part of time share scams and to get the free tickets you have to travel miles to a time share location and get talked to for about 4 hours.

You are trapped there as they are in the middle of nowhere and you have to wait for them to take you back.

Steer clear of them.

Buy your tickets at an official Tourist Information Centre to be sure they are genuine.

I got back from Florida last month after getting married there. FANTASTIC! (and half the price of getting married in the UK).

anyway, if you want to go to Sea world (and possibly Busch Gardens) i would definatley recomend a day at Discovery Cove, you get to swim with the dophins and lots of other fish, free food and drink all day, and 7 days unlimited access to Sea world and Busch for just �165 per person. its worth it trust me.

As for everything else in Orlando, well theres not much room. but if want more advice i can e-mail you all the sites we used to plan our stay.

P.S. as you didnt mention the 'D' i presume you are already staying in a resort, or have made arrangements.
Either way we have tons of recent experience!
