How long is a direct flight to Cancun, Mexico from Gatwick airport?

The ThomsonFly outbound services on Wednesdays, which I've just looked at, leave Gatwick at 0945 and arrive at 1410. The return flights leave Cancun at 1555 and arrive back at 0720. Allowing for the 6 hour time difference, this means that outbound flights are scheduled to take 10 hours 25 minutes, with the return flights taking 1 hour less (i.e. 9 hours 25 minutes).

I flew direct from manchester and we went right across the Atlantic and then over labrador, Nova Scotia and then down The eastern Sea Board then across Florida, it seemed a long way round but that's where it went. It was ten hours going and then coming home we went over The Blue Ridge Mountains! That took 9 hours coming back but the wind was behind us and my daughter drank all the beer.
