Random thoughts on these clues:

I. Mynahs - not British, but were the MINERS ever privatised twice??

7. Could this be HOODED something? Graduates get dressed on graduaton day in Hood, Cap and Gown.

No answers I'm afraid but I was wondering if the first could be a name consisting of the same part twice (eg. dodo, jub-jub).

I too was playing with gown, Crofter - removing the w (for weightless) - GON. A bird ending -gon ? I'm not very ornithological I'm afraid...

I think Doubly Privatised could be Water Rail
both were privatised.

Gen2: That's what we were thinking too so I think we'll go with that one. Thanks.
Question Author
Crofter: You mentioned Spruce Goose for no. 7. I can see the Spruce but got a mental block on the goose/weightless bit...

Misstee, you are muddled. crofter gave spruce goose as the answer to one of the earlier questions in your other post - something about a tailors iron if I remember correctly.

Question Author

You're right - I am muddled - very...! Nothing new I'm afraid...!

I didn't have any more it would fit - definitely no tailor's irons.

Spruce would fit the dressing up bit though wouldn't it? That's the only one I'm stuck on now.

Hi. I had same quiz recently. Thought No. 1 was Water Rail and No. 7 was Robin (Robing but without the G)

Was stuck at anagram of reavealingasnob and

Highlander included by internet user.

Any ideas?

Are you in the North Wset by any chance? If it's the same quiz, do you reckon they'll let us share the prize or will we be disqualified for sheating...! ;o)

Revealing, etc = Slavonian Grebe

Highlander, etc = Surf Scoter

Hope these help - I think I have them all now.

Hi Misstee

Got Surf Scoter myself after I posted last message. Thanks for other one. My quiz doesn't have prizes I don't think. Is only for fun.
