Arriva run most of the buses in the area. Try their website.
There's a number 14 First bus that runs along Aikman Avenue into town. If you go to their website, you can download a nifty little underground type map that has all the route numbers on it. Here's the address:

Arriva don't offer such luxuries as a useful website, but you should find the information you need here:

I've been trying, on and off, for hours to post this. (AB's got technical problems today). It should be a 2-part post but if the second bit doesn't make it you'll know why!

If you don't mind a couple of short walks you can do it with a single bus journey:

Walk along Bird's Nest Avenue to Dillon Road. This runs parallel to New Parks Way, which is where you need to board your bus. There may be a footpath cuttig through but, if not, you'll need to turn right onto Dillon Road and then left onto Dillon Way. This brings you onto New Parks Way.

The service you require is number 302, which will be running from right to left as you arrive at New Parks Way. Buses run every 30 minutes and take about 27 minutes to get to Hallam Crescent East. Alight at the roundabout and walk along Audley End, which runs off the roundabout, to the right. Turn left onto Mortimer Way. This brings you out onto Narborough Road. Just across Narborough Road, off to your right, is Rowley Fields Avenue which leads to Lyncote Road where Riverside Community College is situated.
That all sounds far more complicated than it actually is. If you get hold of a street plan of Leicester you'll be able to see that the walks are quite short and easy to follow.

You can view a timetable for route 302 by going here:
http://212.188.131.251/scripts/webtriplanner.d ll/timetableroutes
Enter '302' as the route number. When you're prompted to select a route, choose the first option (Beaumont Leys - Braunstone - City Centre). To expand the timetable to show intermediate stops, click the '+' buttons.

If you're travelling as a student yo might be interested in Arriva's ticket which gives unlimited travel for a 3-month period. For the current period, through to 14th July, this costs 67.50 if bought online:

PS: If you hate walking, just ask your neighbours where they catch a bus into the city centre. Then take service 51 from Haymarket stand H4. These run every 15 minutes. Alight at Rowley Fields Avenue, just before Braunstone Lane.
