is it ok to fly with a plastercast..I have one on my broken wrist. some pleople tell me they won't let me on the plane!...

knew of someone who broke their wrist just before they were due to fly on hols. Anyway the only concern seemingly was that area can swell and therefore if cast quite tight could cause circulation to stop. Went through various concerns of getting it removed before flight and visiting hospital once there etc but went back and as was starting to heal they fitted a slightly looser cast and no problem. Suppose you better check with your airline in advance but dont think you should have any problems.

i broke my ankle in greece a couple of years ago and was allowed to fly back no probalem, although i (well, the insurance company) had to pay for 3 seats so i could keep my leg elevated.

After a recent minor foot op, I was told that even though it had gone well and there were no likely problems, such ops carry a high than usual risk of the patient developing DVT, due to the disturbance to circulation. This is maybe why some airlines won't take you, especially if it's a long hal flight.
