Disabled People

I have found out that if a person with a disability goes on holiday with someone else who looks after them, both the carer and the disabled person gets money off.

I was wondering does anyone know where else I can find out about this.

This is not a universal thing - it will depend on the policy of the individual hotel, travel company, airline, etc

Best place would be an organisation dealing with the particular disability - eg RNIB for sight problems.

Iam a carer for a wheelchair bound lady we have been to various UK holidays eg Warners, Butlins [never again] but have never had a discount, we have also been to Graceland, Memphis and to Las Vegas but no discount, I am employed as a support worker.

On the home front my husband is reg blind and the only concession we get is when we go away to Eastbourne in Nov with the Federation of the Blind for a get together weekend of people with visual impairment and the weekend is subsided by the NFB.

If you travel with Virgin and you request help when booking they do try and give you seats with more legroom, but may ask for proof of disability.Other airlines I dont know about.
